4K's Observations from February 2009

We are going to be taking photos of a beautiful tree on the west side of our school on the front lawn for this collaborative Internet project.

On Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at 2:10 Vlada and Joseph went outside to take our photo and notice what was going on outside! 

Our weather report for the afternoon of February 17, 2009:

• it was windy

• it was cold

• it was cloudy and gloomy

• it was mostly overcast

• the temperature was 44 degrees F with a windchill of 33 degrees F 

We noticed that:

• we don't see any animals or birds outside
• the trees are bare except for pine trees
• some grass is poking out of the snow
• there is some snow on the ground but there are puddles where it melted
• we hear and see trees being cut down near the power lines
• we still need to wear medium heavy winter coats
• there is snow forecast for tonight and tomorrow!
